One Year of Building NightSip
A year ago, NightSip was bottles in my kitchen with masking-tape labels.
What Went Right
The product works. Beta testers genuinely wake up fresher. That validation was everything.
The waitlist model. 4,800+ people is more valuable than any retail shelf.
The honesty. Saying "we do not have clinical data yet" scared me. People responded to transparency more than any marketing claim.
What Went Wrong
Pricing anxiety. At $71.88/case we lost early interest. But return rates are near zero.
The bottle. First batch looked like a supplement. The amber Boston round was iteration 3 of packaging.
No clinical study at launch. Every science question comes back to this gap. Top priority now.
What Surprised Me
People use it as a ritual, not just a product. Men are half our customers. Press cares about the founder story more than the ingredient list.
Next
Clinical study. New flavors. Retail exploration. Batch 2 ships April 15.
