What Alkaline Water Actually Does for Your Mouth
The alkaline water industry has a credibility problem. I chose 9.5 pH water for one narrow reason: oral pH management overnight.
Your mouth's resting pH is 6.7-7.0. Overnight bacterial acids can push it below 5.5. Alkaline water does not fix your body's pH, but in your mouth it can temporarily raise the local pH environment, creating conditions less hospitable to acid-producing bacteria.
We tested 8.0 to 11.0. At 9.5, taste was clean. Above 10 it was soapy. Below 8 the effect was too subtle.
Alkaline water is the delivery vehicle, not a miracle cure. Combined with zinc, chlorophyll, and aloe vera, it supports oral health overnight. That is a modest claim and the only one I will make.
